Mission and Code
Who We Are
The Vancouver Southsiders exist for one reason: to provide unwavering, vocal, and visual support for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. We are not passive spectators. If you find yourself in our section, you are expected to contribute.
The Standard of Participation
A healthy Southside relies on your active engagement. We expect the following from every member, at every match:
- Active Support: You stand. You sing. You wave the flag. You do not wait for others to start; you lead.
- Collective Effort: We act as one body. Whether it is preparing tifo, cleaning the section after the match, or organizing travel, the group’s impact depends on your contributions.
- The Full 90: We lift the players when they are down and celebrate until they leave the pitch. Our support does not waver based on the scoreline.
Conduct and Environment
We maintain a section defined by passion and mutual respect. We are an inclusive group, but our tolerance for toxicity is zero.
Zero Tolerance: Violence, racism, homophobia, and sexism are grounds for immediate and permanent removal.
The Section First: We prioritize collective presence. We sit together, we chant together, and we protect the integrity of the supporters' culture.
What We Expect of You
Do not just join; contribute. Football culture in Vancouver is healthier than it has been in a long time, and we are extremely proud to form a prominent part of the scene.
We ask that you help us continue to nurture and grow it: be an advocate for the Southside, introduce friends and family to the group, and be an active voice in showing the world what football in Vancouver can be.
Our goal? To make the match-day experience in the Southside the best it can be... Loud, energetic, intimidating, and something people want to come back for week in, week out.
