MLS Round 18: FC Dallas
Away Game Day Info
Wednesday, June 26th, Kickoff 6:00pm
The friendly visit from Kei Kamara and Nico Mezquida on Saturday night was certainly eventful… The first half they combined for 3 assists, and if not for Jake Nerwinski’s sliding goal-line clearance, the little Uruguayan would have netted a goal on top of it. Thankfully a late first-half penalty and whatever primal screaming Marc Dos Santos engaged in at half time seemed to wake the Caps up from their post break slumber and they fought back to salvage a point.
If you want one thing to treasure from last Saturday, it should be Yordy Reyna rudely interrupting Tim Howard’s customary 80th minute nap time. Go back to bed, old man.
From scrapping with our peers in the basement of the league, we leap to facing a team in the top third of all our competitors. FC Dallas just hammered the snot out of Toronto FC. Perhaps they were embarrassed at being run out of the US Open Cup by USL Championship side New Mexico United? Hopefully they’ve worked out their frustrations and are ripe for another underdog to hand them a loss.
Referee Assignments
Unavailable at the time of posting. Hopefully it’s someone we’ve never heard of. Can’t be any worse than the devils we know.
