Dining and Drinking
Dining out in Vancouver is fantastic. We’re home to many a world-renowned chef, have had some of our restaurants featured on Food Network shows like Top Chef, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Eat St. and more. We have some of the best Asian food outside of Asia (especially our sushi, which is not only delicious, but inexpensive compared to other cities), but also cater to other regional cuisines. We highly recommend checking out Urbanspoon to see what is hip and happening on the culinary front, but in case you don’t want to do that, Japadog (hot dogs with a Japanese twist) is a regional classic and poutine (although truly a French-Canadian thing) from Fritz at 718 Davie St or La Belle Patate at 1215 Davie St, are always worth a try.
Pubs and Bars
You can’t really go wrong when it comes to bars/clubs in downtown Vancouver. Take a stroll down Granville Street and you will see a number of the city’s nightlife hotspots. We recommend checking out some of our official partners listed below:
Doolin’s Irish Pub: Doolin’s is the official pub partner of the Vancouver Southsiders. It is located at 654 Nelson Street at the corner of Granville St. They have great food, great beer selection and show all Whitecaps home and away matches.
The Cellar: The Cellar is a Southsiders partnered nightclub conveniently located below Doolin’s Irish pub at 1006 Granville St.
