Code of Conduct

Don’t Be a Dick

If you aren’t sure what that means, here are a few examples:

Don’t be a Bigot: The Vancouver Southsiders are vehemently against racism, homophobia and any other form of intolerance. If you want to yell an insult or slur pertaining to someone’s background, sexual orientation, religion, gender or skin color, don’t. This includes players, coaches, refs, staff, other fans, or any other person.

Don’t be a Thug: as much as we stand against the various forms of discrimination, we absolutely do not want any violent conduct associated with the game of football, particularly the Vancouver Southsiders and Whitecaps FC. We are not hooligans or Ultras, and we will not tolerate that behaviour in or around our group. Do not under any circumstances throw items onto or towards the pitch or ANY person. Do not engage in violent or aggressive behaviour. Period.

Don’t be an Idiot: use your head. If your idea of a good time will put yourself or anyone else at risk, don’t do it. We are all at the stadium to enjoy ourselves and support our team, don’t put your enjoyment above anyone else’.

Do remember why we are here: To support our team through thick and thin, and make our home a fortress. Respect our team, its players, staff, other fans, and everyone else we encounter, no matter how much we dislike their colours. Urge our boys to victory and lift them in defeat!
If you can’t follow these simple rules, be forewarned that the Vancouver Southsiders will assist and comply with any and all investigations and penalties assigned by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC or their agents, facility security and law enforcement. We will not help people escape punishment or avoid the consequences of their behaviour.
