The Southsiders take pride in having one of the more extensive repertoires in Major League Soccer. We’re always looking for new material, too! Got an idea for a new song or chant? Tweet it @SouthsideCapo.
Boundary Road
Based on John Denver’s classic Country Roads, this song is a reminder of the Southsiders’ origins at Swangard Stadium on Boundary Road. Usually sung with scarves held high at the start of each half:
Boundary Road, take me home,
To the place where I belong.
Vancouver, pretty mama,
Take me home, Boundary road.
Come on Vancouver
To the tune of Vamos Chilenos, a song sung by supporters of the Chilean national team.
Come on,
Come on Vancouver,
We’re together,
Supporting you tonight
Eight-Six
A reminder of our roots as a Vancouver 86ers supporters group, as well as a nod to Vancouver’s founding in 1886. This song is sung, winning, losing or tied, to the refrain of The Beatles’ Hey Jude during the 86th minute of play at every game.
Naaaaa, na na, na na na naaaaa,
Na na na naaaaa,
Eight six.
You Take the Long Line
Because who doesn’t like beer. This song, to the tune of the Scottish folk song The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond , is sung at the announcement of first half stoppage time.
You take the long line,
And I’ll take the short line,
And I’ll have my beer,
Befooorrrre you.
For beer is my true love,
And cheering on the Caps,
From the bonnie bonnie grass of the Soouuuthside.
Just Can’t Get Enough
A tweaked version of the Depeche Mode classic.
When I see you, Whitecaps,
I go out of my head,
I just can’t get enough,
I just can’t get enough,
All the things you do to me,
And all the things you said,
I just can’t get enough,
I just can’t get enough
Here in the Southside, I’m falling in love,
And I just can’t seem to get enough of
(while bouncing)
Do do do-do-do-do-do,
Do do do-do-do-do-do,
St Pauli Song
Adapted from the song by the supporters of Bundesliga side St. Pauli, this one is sung to the tune of 60′s doo-wop tune I Will Follow Him by Little Peggy March.
Weeeeeeee love you, we love you, we love you,
And where you play,
We follow, we follow, we follow,
‘Cause we support,
The Whitecaps, the Whitecaps, the Whitecaps
And that’s the way,
We like it, we like, we like it,
(While bouncing)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhhhhhhhh,
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhhhhhhhh,
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhhhhhhhh,
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhhhhhhhhh.
I Believe
Every line of this chant is a call and response.
I
I believe
I believe that
I believe that we
(Repeated over and over while bouncing.)
I believe that we will win
Care Free
Loosely based on a tune from “Lord of the Dance.”

WHITECAPS!
Vancouver Whitecaps Ever More
Adapted from the supporters of Japan’s Vegalta Sendai. To the tune of Twisted Sister’s We’re Not Gonna Take It.
We’re Vancouver Whitecaps,
Hey! We’re Vancouver Whitecaps,
We’re Vancouver Whitecaps, ever more.
Hey! Hey, hey, hey, hey!
