Bill van der Zalm or 'Fin'
My eyes!!!
Can't believe I'm such a fanatical nerd I'm watching the live stream.

Blame Adidas & the MLS if you don't like them
They are late.

You're not the only one....

Not a surprise...
Am I the only one who has no sound coming out of this thing?

It was actually a Canadian Soccer Moses joke, but close enough
The youth sizes comment was brilliant though
I think Thor has a future in broadcasting...
Love the training kit and hoodies sort lukewarm on the actual shirt right now

For me kinda vice-versa.
Hmm. 'Arbutus Brown' is growing on me the more I see this stuff...
So...what was the announcement that they were going to give? That's why I watched this thing!
Love em. They should have had one of the girls squad members in full kit instead of just a bummy t-shirt. In regards to the local hierarchy of WFC, The girls squad apparently ranks just after the injured, bench-warming Atiba Harris' wife and child.
The hoodies are dope and Joe Thorrington is one hell of an MC. I thought that was a relatively professional presentation of a good looking third kit.

I know, right? Well composed behind the mic

Way way way way way way way way too expensive at 129 plus tax and delivery.
Im out.
All I could think of during presentation was this canadian classic!!!

they look nice... excited to see them in person.
I don't think I'm going to use "Canadian Soccer Moses", but other than that a great presentation by Thorrington. The colours aren't traditional in the least but I can't pretend I hate the look. What's wrong with something new?
One word... CRAPTACULAR!!!
In all seriousness, I think they are one of the better third jerseys this citys franchises has put out which isn't saying much. Kinda like the accessories. Doubtful I would buy the kit though. If you want a real vibe on them is ask the 13-19 year old in ur hood and that will tell you how these are received. Time will tell.

I think it needs a massive red-yellow-and-orange "V" in the middle of the chest so we all know what city it is.
I'm Carl Valentine and I'm looking fabulous!!

I'm not going to buy one, but I wouldn't have anyway; NASL-era Caps fans like me are not the target audience for this sort of thing.
These will sell well with the target audience, which is youth. They naturally tie into sales of brown hoody sweaters.
One of my favourite jerseys is my (reversible) FC Sankt Pauli, the world's best-known (and probably only) brown jersey-wearing club. There's no denying that brown is unique. While it will inevitably be made fun of by our opponents (Shitecraps), that's not going to disuade a single person from buying it.
I'm looking forward to the 2014 jersey release, when we'll get our blue Hoop back for the club's 40th anniversary.
Hmm, not to sure how I feel about them now. With the original leaked photo it looked like the brown was going to be a fair bit darker making the blue pop out, which IMO looked fantastic. I'm hoping that the jerseys look better in person.
Anyone else surprised they didn't use Lee for this press release?
Lee is the front man on the poster / website photos.
Special announcement : " whitecaps new sponsor.....UPS"
Dunnae like.
I'm not a fan of third kits in general so never would have purchased one. This just reinforces my dislike of third kits.

Showen was supposed to go and pick up Boccanegra but came back with Boccincini so they postponed the announcement - but there was a nice Bocc/Tom salad on the buffet.

Anyone else hungry?
I really like it. Going to get a Cap.
I thought the Caps put on a good presentation. Thorrington was hilarious.
They should have gone with the yellow 86ers retro but I suppose this will do.
I quite like them, I actually think brown is an underrated colour. I don't think I'd pay 130-plus for one but if a decent deal for one came up on eBay or there was a big merch sale I'd pick one up.
People will bite my head off for this but I'm tired of teams always insisting on reverting to retro throwbacks, it's an overplayed fad and I find it gives out a carte blanche to avoid having to actually design anything or come up with new ideas. Anybody who identifies THAT strongly with the NASL/USL years already own the shirts and wear them to games anyway. Beyond the cynical moneymaking purposes third jerseys should really be used as an opportunity to try out something different, which this definitely is. At the absolute least they're far less offensive to the eyes than Seattle's neon monstrosities.
