Salaries and injuries notwithstanding, below is who I would like to see starting and on the bench for Whitecaps FC.
G - Cannon
D - Lee, Bonjour, DeMerit, Rochat
M - Davison, Robson, Koffie, Richards, Teibert
F - Mattocks
SUBS - Knighton, Miller, O'Brien, Camilo, Harvey, Clarke, Salgado
Pretty much that.
Salgado starts ahead of Teibert, Thorrington on the bench ahead of Clarke because you need cover in central midfield.
F: miller mattocks M: tiebert koffie robson richards D: rochat demerit bonjour lee G: cannon bench: knighton, o'brien, salgado, harvey, ulyssis, camilo, davidson
Cannon
Lee - DeMerit - Bonjour - Rochat
Davidson
Robson - Koffie
Richards - Salgado
Mattocks
Subs: Knighton - O'Brien - Harvey - Thorrington - Teibert - Camilo - Miller
Totally agree with Seathanaich.
4-3-1-2
Cannon
Lee - DeMerit - Bonjour - Rochat
Thorrington - Koffie - Robson
Camilo
Mattocks - Salgado
Bench --- Knighton - Harvery - Mitchell - Davidson - Teibert - Richards - Miller
mayday said: with Seathanaich, except I'd have O'Brien in for DeMerit
that wont happen this year-- de merit brings so much more to the caps in his leadership ability and passion for the game
Knighton
Lee - DeMerit - Bonjour - O'Brien Robson - Koffie - Camilo Richards - Mattocks Miller
Knighton looked great in the win and Cannon's last game was pretty poor. He should get a chance if Cannon struggles in Seattle.
I haven't been impressed with Rochat's play of late. O'brien would be an upgrade (even out of position) over Rochat, if for example, we had a 4vs5 lose and you're out playoff game and wanted your best guys playing.....
Mattocks and Miller are both great and neither should be left off a dream sheet. I would drop Davidson, even though I loved the way he showed up that flopping Fererra last match! Miller looks stronger and more interested and successful at pressuring the opposing D so I would move Mattocks out to left wing.

O'Brien isn't exactly what you'd call mobile. Playing him out of position in a spot that requires mobility seems like a good way to get burned. It's hard to argue, dry spell or no, that Rochat is one of the best LB in the league when he's on.
Contrary to popular opinion, I thought Kenny Miller looked pretty good as a 10. Certainly better than Jarju, who scored his 3rd goal in 4 matches today -showing attackers need some time to settle in. Miller played several nice balls, and covered a lot of ground. He can contribute as a provider while he rides out his scoring slump.
I'd like to see Robson at RM/RW (reportedly his natural position) and Teibert at LM/LW. We have two great fullbacks who are suffering from playing with widemen that can't defend. Richards and Camilo can come on as energy subs.
I see Teibert more as an "energy sub" right now. I would like to see Rennie go back to the same line-up as last Saturday. I think everyone will be healthy next weekend. I don't think he'll sit Miller on the bench though, so I'm not sure what he'll do with everyone back.
