Jay_Duke said: You can't tell me Nano or Tiebert couldn't provide as much as LeToux the last six games. LeToux has been anemic on attack, ending chances all over the place. He's also been poor defensively. He allowed an uncontested cross for TFCs first goal.

He's been poor defensively a few times, but in general is very good. He's broken up a few rushes because of his hustle.

I'm confused. What thread do I use to complain about Le Toux's offensive shortcomings and misuse? Here, or the Camilo is garbage thread, or the Hassli is under performing thread, or the Mattocks is too cocky thread, or the Barbara was Rennie's mistake thread? :-??

Seriously, this was all so much easier when all we had to chose from was Hassli or Camilo to score our goals.... ;) (winking smiley face indicates sarcasm prevalent in entire comment)

Davide and seba gone... Will Dane Richards plug the gap left by TWO players? I expect that with the allocation money which accompanies Dane that there is something in the works. #InRennieWeTrust #IBelieve !!!

Jaysus, I wake up from my nap and all hell has broken loose. Seba was a true gentleman and I am sad to see him go but I do believe he wasn't making the contribuition that Rennie first envisaged. I do believe Rennie does have a plan, it's working so far, and I have no need to change that opinion yet.

Somebody should have sent "don't panic" Martin's way, methinks.

Still, remember how people were talking about how last year's Carolina Railhawks got too complacent and weren't able to compete in the key parts of the season? This year's Vancouver Whitecaps are apparently the opposite of complacent.

Lol some people are threatening to not purchase seasons tickets for next year...Such fickle Vancouverites...it's laughable really. One guy was even complaining that there is not a big name English club coming in for a friendly. #-o

If a moron like that is replaced by a proper soccer fan, everyone wins.

Or one of the top players in the league over the past two seasons. Let me check... Yes, yes he was.

Looking at his production the last 2 years , he was not over rated at all. We got what we expected. Rennie has other designs And moved him

Really? We'll lose the next 2 I think before getting back on track. We'll still make the playoffs. Anyone who believed we'd do anything more this season was overly optimistic IMO

Well probably not really. But considering we just transferred our offensive catalyst and started the season with 8 strikers (Hassli, Camilo, Le Toux, Mattocks, Salgado, Harris, Barbara, Tan) and after Hassli's injury are down to 2 I would say concern is on my mind.

  • We better sort things out by Weds. LA is destroying the Timbers right now... they're looking like the 2011 version of the Gals.

I've just been looking over Colorado's remaining schedule. They too are in for tough games for the rest of the season. Chivas too. If we stand a chance of getting in the playoff's, we will need to get our collective shit together and hope the new signings can get upto speed PDQ. Colorado and Chivas could help get us there by default.

I'm not yet pushing the panic button, the last two losses, disappointing as they are have showed some sign's of progress. well at least the Toronto game did. Barry Robson once settled in properly i hope will be an asset, i liked watching Dane Richards speed, and the potential to run down the lines and get a cross in. Great to see nanchoff getting a start, Jordon Harvey is becoming a fixture in the starting line up.

An interesting few months no doubt. Looking foward to seeing them back at BC Place.

So we got Robson, who in my opinion isn't really fitting in, as well as one, maybe two, new players joining the ranks. Do we have enough time to build chemistry before we are down to 6th place? My finger is on the button.

Seems like a misstep to change out key players when the team is performing fairly well.

I think this current road trip shows just how hard it is to win on the road. Especially rediculous road trip like we just had.

After last season, any point or gutsy performance on the road makes me happy. When the Caps outplay their opponent and don't get the result, it just reminds me of the strides the club has made. I don't enjoy the losses but always try to keep some sort of perspective.

Last year it took an entire season to get 5 points on the road. Perspective.

The moves that the Caps have made may or may not work out but I applaud them for trying to make the team better. Face it, we were a slightly better than average team before LeToux and DeDe left (8th place out of 19 teams). Sure we are in a playoff spot but I don't think anyone can say we really have a shot at winning it all and that should be our goal. I think Bobby and MR realize that and continue to try and make the team better. They have done a great job so far since last season and I have faith that they will continue to improve the team to a champion level, not just an above average team.

I've been away for a week on holiday. I missed the game last night and came home and found out that both Le Toux and Davide are gone. Jaw dropped. Wow! I never thought I'd say this but, I'm most worried about Davide's departure. Echoing the sentiment above, It would seem they are really trying to make this team better and sometimes that means people have to leave.

Agree 100%. While we have improved massively over last year, we can't just aim for 6th-8th in the league and be happy with it. The team that we've built so far probably won't win the MLS Cup so we have to make improvements wherever we can, even if that means sacrificing some of our quality players.
