Erm no. Where do you sit/stand?
They were there. They weren't all that annoying from where I'm at in 249.
Next to them in 254...thankfully they seem to be playing less and less as the atmosphere ramps up.
It really does depend on where you stand as far as them ruining your game day experience. Back of 252, 253 etc it can be bloody aweful. When I stand down with the Curva Collective I wouldn't know they even exist. I suspect that most of you folks standing at the bottom of 251 & 252 barely notice them either. The fact is they are a major factor in not enabling chants to (1) spread back up the terrace and (2) from keep going for extended periods.
With regards to the Sound Wave in Seattle... they prove a compromise is possible. They only play before the game and after a Sounders goal.
Saw the Sounders vs Houston in the spring. The band was great and it all seemed to be coordinated very well with the supporters group who took a "time out" during their performance at 1/2 time. Not suggesting we get a marching band... so if FO is reading this please disregard LOL. Also, from my location at midfield I was very impressed on Wednesday night how the whole south end was coordinated (SS and Curva). Noticed that a few sections around to the right of th SS rose to their feet at one point (not sure what triggered that but it was great to see)

"East side on your feet! " :)
Prawnside FC said East Side on Your Feet! We are slowly getting there. Just ask Lefty! who sits just below me. Lots of corporates in Sec 214 but the regulars are on their feet when appropriate (the lads marching on to field, subs, goals).
I think an occasional "everyone" in the stadium on their feet would be great. That's why I was wondering what triggered the small ovation last game. Any ideas how we can get something like that to happen once or twice a game (without being told to sit down by the yellow guys?).
Anything North of section 244 still seems to sit on their asses even during the "On Your Feet" chant. The aisle between 244 and 243 is like an invisible wall. Oddest thing.
I just wanted to drop a comment to say that a buddy of mine rode our motorbikes from Saskatoon to Vancouver last week and decided to take in the Whitecaps game (as I'm a EPL fan and couldn't resist the opportunity to see some live MLS) ... we were waiting over some beers at Doolins and some southsiders came in .... Great atmosphere and everything .... then we wandered down to BC Place and where lucky once again to get our tickets in the supporters area!!! Loved it and although I shall remain a Chelsea fan thru and thru ... I now have a new team to support in the blue and white!!! Thanks for the awesome experience!!
Hey, I offer my apologies for the border fiasco on your recent journey to Ferndale. But, as a long-time Totems/Sounders fan, Vancouver sucks :) (but nowhere near as skillfully as portland). But, "Fuck Seattle?" Too harsh. We have many microbreweries, Ferndale has none... Will you be stopping in Seattle on your trip to portland? I'll buy beer...

Surely not "Fuck Seattle"? More "FUCK YOU DALLAS".
