The Southsiders will be putting on buses and for the first time Amtrak for our trip to Seattle
Full details here http://vancouversouthsiders.ca/store/
We are not selling tickets only.
If you wish to travel independently, you MUST get your tickets from the Front Office, however our premium section is SOLD OUT
Buy early, as everyone who enters before our home match on July 22 will be eligible for an early bird draw for a Whitecaps jersey.
What section is the whitecaps premium section in? Going to be down in the states and try to find seats close by

101, 102 & 103, but the configuration is such that there really isn't anything near it. You're probably better off buying something up in 301, which is still designated as an away section.
By the way, received an e-mail today - now that Chelsea is over, Seattle is selling a 3-pack of LA, Vancouver and Portland for just $45 for the upper deck. I suspect they'll be able to turn quite a few of those, I'd be very surprised if the crowd for our match doesn't hit close to 50,000.
Thank You SAFC_Yank.... I just bought some tickets in section 301
I've been living in Kamloops, working in Japan this summer, but coming home to Vancouver in time for my birthday August 16, so I wanna do my first road trip.
So since your trip is sold out, what do I need to do? I'm thinking I'll probably just Bolt Bus both ways. For tix, do I Contact VWFC FO or Sounders FO?
@whiteisthecolour Our trip is by no means sold out. Get in! http://www.vancouversouthsiders.ca/store/
When will the trip packages (tickets, etc.) be distributed?
Probably on the buses & train
Solid. Do we need to send our season ticket number?

No words needed. Except the ones on the shirt.

Thanks
We're only allowed to distribute to members with season tickets.

Has that changed since last year? Or was it that there was room for non STH after a certain deadline last year?
I'll let someone else answer, as my details are spotty. Something about STH can vouch for non-STH, up to four.
A STH can buy up to 4 season tickets per seat. So as long as our ratio is better than 3 non-STH for every 1 STH, we'll be fine.
I bought my Bus C Package with the Southsiders for $75 and i'm not a season ticket holder does this mean I won't be able to receive a ticket to the Seattle game on Aug. 18th?
No. You're fine. Everybody is fine.
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
I'm looking for tickets in 101 or 102. I have tickets in 301 but I'm afraid of heights. See post in ticket exchange. Never mind the sky falling. Be worried about me falling, drunk, from 301 on top of your ass.
I wasn't afraid before ...

Hey, I'm in 301, I can hold you back from falling. Kept you from clocking that wanker last year, so I'm experienced. ;-)
That's right. I forgot about about that guy. I owe you. Next time we let Trevor pop him. #:-S
It's about time those young fellas started looking after us. Now I know you're in 301, I'll probably stay there. Wendy is going to be with me this time. Is Derek with you, or the missus for this one?
What time does the beer and food start being served on the train? Any tips for maximum Amtrak enjoyment? Not planning on bringing anything but my phone, keys, passport, wallet, sunglasses and scarf.
Is 30min before departure enough for check-in from experience?
Not sure if they've reserved a car for you guys. If not, I'd be there at least 45 minutes ahead of departure. Remember you have to clear customs before you get on the train. Not a big deal but it can take some time.
I believe they start serving beer once you're past the border ... or rather that's the earliest I've bought beer. Not suggesting you'll over-indulge, but they will toss you from the train if you get too rowdy. I've seen it happen. There's free WiFi on the train as well.
I finally got time off from work to go to the seattle game however FO says i am too late for tix--i am driving down than leaving on vacay from seattle on sunday any ideas other than ticketmaster where i can get tix? to sit either in 301 or 101?
The Amtrak Cascades train doesn't have a British Columbia liquor license so yes, they will only serve beer when you're across the border.

Ticketmaster will be your best bet.

What section/row will Christie be in?
Clark?
No, she's in the Korean section
Ok, so the wife and I want to go, and we'd love to sit with the majority of the Southsiders, but we want to spend the night. What if we bought tix for the bus trip, travelled down with you guys, but then spent the night and Amtracked back? Would that result in Homeland Security "probing" the entire bus at the border trying to find us, or is it Do-able?
I'm pretty sure people have done that before. Should be fine.
OK, cool. I assume it would just be a let you know before hand type thing so no-one is looking for us prior to the bus leaving. Or am I kidding myself and no one cares if you're on the bus?
If we have to leave you behind, we'll drink one for you.

You can buy and consume beer before the border, (in a way you are already in the States as there is no way to get off on Canadian soil) I did it on the afternoon train several occasions. The buffet car is only closed during the stop in Blaine at the actual border crossing, when customs comes on board and takes your declaration forms and ask a few questions. Once we were asked by the US border agent to get more beer, as we were sitting at our seats with already empty bottles.
As for the morning departure, 30-45 minutes is usually plenty even if the train is busy.
Note that Skytrain service only starts around 6am on Saturdays, so you need to find your way to Central Station by other means.

Awesome, right below me. I'll go down and say hello to her. :-)

This is contrary to my last experience on the train late last year, where they refused to sell me liquor until we were on United States soil. Possibly it's one of those "depends who's at the cash register" things then.
I've only ever gone down in the morning so by the time we crossed the border the caffeine of my morning espresso had worn off and I needed beer. Good timing really.
A couple of years ago when I took the evening train back home, they announced that they would begin alcohol sales once we were out of Canada. Then as soon as we were in Burnaby they announced that alcohol was now being sold. Evidently Burnaby is now considered "out of Canada." :-P
I don't remember when they started it last month when I took the evening one; I wasn't paying attention.
So have those of you who ordered through the FO, received your tickets?
Grandstander said: So have those of you who ordered through the FO, received your tickets?
Nope. Haven't received mine yet. For the last Portland game I only got my tickets about 2-3 days before match day.
