  • Great job sorting this out guys! I bought a pair through Uniglobe, and my wife and I are looking forward to joining a proper supporters section on the eve before my birthday. 4-2 Caps will do quite nicely as a gift, thank you...

SEATTLE BUS TRIP – SATURDAY JUNE 11!

Hello Southsiders!  After some serious wrangling and shenanigans with the Whitecaps, it appears we are FINALLY ready to begin taking orders for our upcoming supporters bus trip to Seattle on June 11!

As you may have heard, the Whitecaps are working with Uniglobe Travel to distribute tickets and operate buses to / from  the match.

However, we have retained our own supporters buses at a substantial savings over the Uniglobe Travel package presently advertised.  Here’s what you need to do:

     1)      Contact Uniglobe Vision to acquire your Seattle match tickets. Email them at whitecaps@uniglobevision.comor phone 604.677.1495. You are entitled to ONE match ticket for every season ticket registered to your name. Make arrangements with their agents for payment. Tickets cost $35, all taxes and fees included.

     2)      Next, please visit http://vancouversouthsiders.bigcartel.com to purchase your Southsiders “86 Express” bus package

Our bus package is just $86 (includes all fees and taxes). This includes: Transportation to / from Vancouver and Seattle A special 50/50 scarf commemorating our first MLS Cascadia Cup match of 2011, valued at $25.

Your grand total for the Southsiders bus trip will be $121 (Uniglobe ticket, Southsiders bus package and all taxes and fees).

OK I ordered my single ticket from Uniglobe.
What is the deadline for booking my place on the SS bus?

Don't think there's a deadline other than when they're sold out.  Translation:  Sooner is always better than later.

Yeah, we're planning on taking the train down Friday morning since we both have the day off. The return leg is still up in the air, depends if I have to be back at work Sunday or not.

No credit cards have been processed yet.

He doesn't physically have the tickets.

If the tickets are NOT e-tickets they will be couriered at extra cost

At the beginning of this process, we were all upset that Uniglobe was 'profiteering' by packaging tickets with their bus trip.

I have no desire for yet another scarf from this season, so why the upsell in the bus trip including a $25 item that I do not need?

The Cutoff for the Southside Bus trip is 9pm on April 17th.  After that only Cancellations.

Also if you are travelling with an underage person (U21) Bus 'B' whilst still being Southside Rowdy will be the 'All Age bus'.  All this means is if we have time for a pit stop it will do so at a restaurant and not a pub.  Otherwise it will be the same as the other buses.

I'm assuming you mean underage in respect to the USA of 21.  Off by 5 months...   Any idea on whether they would ID everyone if a larrge group walked into a pub?

Yes, USA underage.  If you are under 18 and want to go on our trip you need to go with a parent or legal guardian.

@td04: depends on the pub.  The Central IDs everyone at the door, for example.  If you find one that's not doing that, you could probably get in o.k. but obviously they'd check your ID if you ordered a drink.

He also said they are sold out!

^ What I want to know is how many SS buses sold vs. the Uniglobe buses.  Methinks Uniglobe may be re-thinking this arrangement.  Watch your backs SS-ers!
