Surrey away viewings

Does anyone know if there is a Surrey location where the Southsiders meet to watch the away games? If not, would anyone be interested in one? I know the manager at Central City Brewing, and they'd be willing to host us (I think). Thanks!

I've always wanted to do a skytrain pub crawl. Steamworks, St Augustines, and Central City.

That'd be cool. I live in tri cities but wouldn't mind a change of venue. As long as the pub is soccer friendly.

I'm down for this too. There's a good brew pub at 152nd and hwy 10 that would more than likely cater to us

You're thinking of Big Ridge. Just happen to know the manager there too! Alright, there is interest; I'll make some inquiries and let you boys know. I'll talk to central city first, since its easily sky train accessible. Thanks guys!

Interested, For those of us who look "student aged" you can sometimes get away with ordering a pitcher at the student price of $12

I don't know if many of you would come out the Cloverdale way, but I'm pretty sure Doublins on Fraser and 188th would do something. Ive gone in a few times after home games and there are guys in caps gear.

  • I'm down with Big Ridge! Skytrain is too hard to get to. 375 (Guildford) 345 (K. George Stn/ White Rock) stop right at the corner. 341 ( Guildford/Langley) stops 2 blocks away.

I agree with the people who are voting for Big Ridge. I like Central City's beer, but not their menu or service.

Big ridge also now has a free shuttle that picks up or drops off a fairly good distance from the pub.

The Dublin Crossing Irish Pub !!! I would love to go here, just down the street from me. The food is great. The head chef Laura won a TV cooking show.

Dublin crossing has gone downhill. All the management staff has left, as well as head chef Laura and her husband. I knew the manager there too. Yes, I got to a lot of pubs. Sounds like the majority are in for Big Ridge, so I'll pop in their tomorrow and have a chat with them. I should be able to get something rolling in time for next weeks game.

Nice! Just down the street from my place. I will be out of town next week but I am in for the first road game after I return (vs Chicago). Might be able to bring a few more guys too.

Yesterday was a great success at Big Ridge. We'll definitely be back on Saturday. I'm working with the pub to organize a discount for us and I'll let you know if I succeed. If you're available come on out!

    Great

The thing you guys need to work on with the management is a condition that they will not bump Whitecaps matches for hockey, throwball or UFC, even if it's just giving you a dedicated section. Sound & Vision!

No discount yet, still working on it. They don't show ufc, and have committed to video and sound for every game. Added bonus, we've scored a free shot every time the caps score during all three games so far!

Alas, I'll have to miss Saturday's game; stupid wedding to go to. Although.... maybe I can arrange for an emergency page that requires my attendance, and just so happens to coincide with kickoff.

For the rest of you, they will have the game on, so have fun.

There with be at least 3 more of us poor schmucks stuck here that will be watching the game at BR.

Also, as an aside, had a large number of beer with the brewmaster last night, and if we can get a large enough group together for a game, he would make us a special "Southsider" cask of beer..... food (or drink) for thought.
