I'm coming down to Portland from Saskatchewan for this one. How do I get tickets without the transportation option?
It looks like the only option through the club is to get the Uniglobe package if you are not a season ticket holder. Would any season ticket holder be willing to grab two tickets and send them to me? All costs paid by me, of course.
Fuck, kind of sucks its southsiders only, had a lot of people wanting to come down after telling them stories about portland. Totally understandable though, i was surprised the last trip was open to everyone. If they were to buy the southsiders membership how long would it take for them to get their number and buy the package?
Simultaneous. Put it in the same transaction.
FYI not our decision, it's a VWFC requirement on us.
To get these tickets we were required to sign a lengthy contract. One of things in that contract is we are only allowed to sell them to our membership. With the last trip we only sold non-member packages before it was presented to us.

Not long. With an online purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. You can request your membership number any time after that. All new memberships purchased online before Friday evening will have their packs ready for pick up Saturday at Doolins.
thank you! what are the clubs reasons on this? because they didn't sell any of their packages?
My belief is it is one thing for us to provide this trip as a service to our membership, but when we start selling to anyone then we are competing with their partner Uniglobe.
We will NOT be using the Convention Centre INN at all.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!

If Uniglobe provided a competitive price point perhaps it wouldn't be a big deal.
I won't say anything about Uniglobe's price, but it's pretty hard for them to match ours, as our contact with the club forces us to take a loss if we don't sell out.
On the After Party Front:
Cascadian DJs will be putting on a special show for the TA and Southsiders after the match on August 25th.
There will be an encompassing Cascadia feel to this event. A true celebration of the NW.

so i tried to buy the trip package for me and my girlfriend and i got the message "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." I tried just buying one and same thing happened. I know my credit card is no where near its limit, and should not be 'blacklisted'. Glitch in the system or do the southsiders not accept mastercard anymore lol?
It's done through paypal.
Bump to make a ticket request for this game. I am looking for a season ticket holder to do me a big favour and buy two tickets for this game for me. I would reimburse all costs for said purchases. Southsider #1000.
Are you buying the bus trip? If so, you can have two from my allocation.
Chris said: Are you buying the bus trip? If so, you can have two from my allocation.
I live in Saskatchewan, so I am flying in beforehand and the bus trip and accommodations aren't of use to me. My understanding is that all season ticket holders can buy two away tickets for this match, so my hope is that someone who is not going would get the tickets for me. I don't believe the Southsiders are offering ticket-only packages.
Buy early, as everyone who enters before our home match on July 22 will be eligible for an early bird draw for a Whitecaps jersey.
In for early bus, assuming its bus A again.
223 and 222 usually. Check with the Whitecaps office. And you're spot on ... PDX is big league in the food department. New fave: Caffe Mimbo.
I need to do the Preliminary rooming list for Portland Red Lion on Monday, so if you're wanting to stay there and haven't booked yet, please get on it as asap.

Brett,
Any idea if the afterparty is all-ages?
I doubt it, but can ask for more info.
Due to a lack of interest we have removed the noon departure option, and have compromised and will be leaving Portland at 1.30pm
This gives people enough time to do some shopping and have lunch, and still get back to Vancouver in plenty of time for transit and work on Monday
Now that we've agreed on meeting at Fado before the Flounders game what about in Portland?. I guess we've always found Henry's welcoming but I know there were Suggestions about possible taking over the whole of the Deschutes Brewpub? What do folks reckon?

We went to Deschutes last time and it was quite good. We tried to get the upstairs room last time, but for some reason couldn't. Would be nice to get it this time.
Also, in case people are wondering, tickets for this match have indeed been sent out. I received mine today.
I purchased my bus package a few weeks ago. Payment was confirmed through PayPal. Should I have received a separate Southsiders e-mail message giving details and asking for my member number?
Bought my tickets for me and my girlfriend today, bulking up on streamers and confetti poppers. What are the pre-game plans?
Did you guys stay at PSU dorm last year? How's it? Is it more like a dorm - where I have to bring my own towels, shampoo, pillow..etc or is it like more like a hotel in a dorm building?

Oh yeah it's a dorm all right. Complete with towel snapping and panty raids and loud farts after lights out. Good times!

Linens are good, but not toiletries. So you don' need to bring towels, or a pillow. But you do need to bring soap and shampoo.

LOL. Well, thanks for reminding me of that horrible place. I've just got over it and now I will have nightmares again... ;) Seriously, PSU can't be that bad...especially compare to the convention centre inn!
What happens if we haven't received our tickets yet for the Portland game?

Just because everyone there knew you and asked if you'd like the usual.

Give the club a call. I imagine they mailed out the Seattle ones first, may be slower on the Portland ones. Do you want me to ask what the status is?
Soccergirl said: What happens if we haven't received our tickets yet for the Portland game?
They have sent them out.
