Thought kickoff was 8pm?
Edit. 8pm by 'Caps page.
It also says 8pm on my TV.
That's just odd. They're playing the game at 9pm Edmonton time??
The 5 people in Edmonton who care have planned a sleepover, don't worry.
I changed it above. But we should think about the march and maybe play it by ear.

Well the people that care, care. The casuals won't be tuning in that late. Dumb.
The Toronto-Montreal match is 5:00-7:00pm PT, so we shouldn't march until 7:00pm at the very earliest (in my opinion).
Worst case scenario: Toronto-Montreal match ends 0-0, goes into extra time (which also finishes 0-0), and is decided by penalties. That would end around... 7:40pm?
I went to check tickets for kick-off time, and saw this:
Be aware that standing, drumming, and chanting throughout the match is permitted in these sections, located on the West Side (Supporters Section): 201-207 & 248-254.
And the map, for whatever reason, has East on the left and West on the right.
I see 8pm on Ticketmaster, so I guess the match is at 8pm officially.
[(
)]It's creepy to see yourself in a video and then the next thing you hear is Hassli saying "We need you" lol.
Darren Mattocks added to the ACC roster, sayeth the twitter.
ETA: Barbara, also. And Rennie suggests Mattocks could make the bench tomorrow.
Didn't see a thread so I'll just post this here.
Entertaining opening 15 minutes in Toronto. TFC leads 1-0 but they just got Eckersley sent off. Should be an interesting game.
By the way, the stadium looks about as empty as it usually does.
Caps wearing blue. Does home team get jersey choice first?
You know, I'm not one to overly bitch about refeering, but this has been unreal. The worst disallowed goal I can remember, Edmonton had one stone cold red card missed when the fullback hauled down Camilo while the last man back, the Nanchoff haul back was also borderline red and the referee also missed two lock yellow cards, one on Thorrington, one on Cox who laid out Camilo. Both those players later got yellows, and should both be off. I would get Thorrington off, BTW, he's ready to blow and is already on a yellow.
So far the 4th official has been the most consistent with his calls.
BTW, Vancouver has been totally outplayed so far, although they should be two men and a goal up to be fair.
I like how the Caps walked away from that offside call as if it was Pierluigi blowing the whistle.....
Harris and Tan not even on the bench, wow. Would rather have seen Tan than Hassli tonight.
Camillo, argh. I think this team goes as far as he takes them. If he could play the good pass more often from the positions he gets in, this team would have twice as many goals. He's missed some open runs and made some inexcusable passes tonight, but he's the most impactful player in blue most nights.
Edmonton deserved that goal. I like Klazura but he's let some balls get in the box tonight. Mitchell also needed to do better there. There was no one else close to mark and he was ball watching.
My mistake on that goal, I think it was Nanchoff who got beat down the left for the cross.
OK, there we go. Get Camilo out now. Man, Monsalve sucks. He's been awful in both legs.
If Monsalve bombs out here, you gotta think that's it for his career. He's already washed out of MLS and the Scandanavian minor leagues. Not many other options left if he keeps on playing like this.
That offside was Klazura's fault, he was half a second late. Played well overall, though.
Ha, you could see that Le Toux goal coming before the ball was kicked. No one picked him up at the far post and he signalled Chiumiento for it. Davide's really taken over here.
Well, finally we have that forward depth. I wonder if Tan and Harris will both be here by the end of the year. I have doubts.
haha hope he at least gave the flag back after the game
was really hoping barbara would get that goal too
Thoughts:
-This was the wrong game for Hassli, needed a high energy type to pressure Edmonton and stop their buildup. Really saw a difference when Le Toux and Barbara came on.
-Klazura is not the finished product, but he has speed, work ethic and technical ability. Needs to work on crossing and seems to have one bad giveaway a match, but for a guy with two professional games he looks very comfortable and will push Lee.
-Mixed game from Nanchoff. Had a clear goal disallowed and had other chances but also went missing for parts and should have done better on his one-on-one.
-Didn't think Thorrington and Franks played that well but had a tough job with everyone else getting forward.
-Edmonton played well for a lot of the game, but in a properly refereed match they would have been a man down and goal down by the twenty-fifth minute and the whole match would have unfolded differently.
-No Tan, or Harris on the bench, Boxall not getting the start and Tiebert not seeing the field. Some guys on the outs or at least the fringe.
I don't know what Rennie was thinking changing the lineup, but obviously the midfield was non-existant. I know FC Edmonton are a 2nd Division team, but come on Rennie, put in better players. Eric Hassli was alone most of the night and the big guy was getting frustrated with getting no love or passes from the midfield. It's obvious we're weak on the RB and Top left foward position when YB Lee and now Salgado don't play, man if FC Edmonton were a better side, they could've easily tied it. I think Rennie had no choice but to put Le Toux in the field, since FC Edmonton were getting confidence. I hope this is the last time he puts that formation on the field and now, we need better quality bench players to go deep in CONCACAF Champions League action, should we qualify.
Oh and what's with the bush league refs? Does the CSA assign these jokers for each game? The reffing in this tournament has been horrible with Refs missing blatant calls and the fourth ref doing nothing. Get some quality FIFA refs for these matches rather then these jokers. Don't care if they're Mexican or Honduran, but anything better then Canadian refs and linesman.
Don't wanna harp, but you'd think by the time you attempted your sixth first touch back pass/flick, without it working, you would probably stop trying to make that play. It's funny as soon as seba, and Barbara come how a man up front who does run, and does try to make turns and dribble past defenders as opposed to one touch back passes, how much the offense changes...just saying.

Seconded, thirded, +1ed, etc... Edmonton was holding a high line because they were not scared of Hassli getting behind at all and the change was evident as soon as some speed and energy came up front. There were five Vancouver attacking players involved in that game, six if you count Chiumiento, and Hasslli was the only one not to generate any real chances.
Mattocks and Barbara were brilliant. What an impact. As for Le Toux, he's been fantastic.
Hassli did a very good job of maintaining possession in the middle of the park in the first half. I have no idea if that's what Rennie asked him to do, and he certainly wasn't a goal threat.
Brenton said: Hassli did a very good job of maintaining possession in the middle of the park in the first half.
True. We look much better when Davidson plays. So much more balance.
Knighton made one good save and put himself on the line.
Klazura was very good for stretches but then gave the ball away needlessly a few times.
Same with Mitchell: dominant at times, then would just kick the ball upfield to no one. And should have got to the ball on their goal.
DeMerit was kind of absent.
Harvey was solid except for when he wasn't.
Thorrington was our best player in the first half, just very composed on the ball, then faded a bit in the second.
Franks, well, he's added depth... Anyone else see him get pissed at Klazura for not catching up to a lofted pass that went too long?
Chiumiento was ineffective in the first half, totally turned the game around in the last 30 minutes.
Nanchoff was excellent at times, then would dribble into trouble for no reason. We already have one Camilo, no need for another. And then he obviously got tired, made a couple bad decisions and bad touches and was subbed. Pretty good for a first competitive match in over a year. (I think.)
Camilo was poor tonight. Showed flashes of what he can do, but no final ball.
Hassli, well, he deserved to be subbed.
Subs
Le Toux was brilliant. Game changer and all that. Did Rennie just tell him "Go on and win the game" ?
Mattocks was clearly out of sync with the other attackers, but you could see the drive and hunger for the ball. And just blasted his goal in, well taken.
Barbara showed why we've been waiting. Also, if that penalty had happened with a game on the line, he gets benched the next game.
From the Province:
Marius Rovde, the Whitecaps’ goalkeepers coach, was booted from the game late in the first half after arguing with officials.
Cox had collided with Knighton a little late and caught the goalkeeper’s right hand with his cleats.
“I’m not sure [what he said],” Rennie claimed of Rovde. “I think it was Norwegian.”
