Is that a 'hoop' I see? Not too bad... They got the blue right.
If that's actually it, not bad at all. I expected worse quite honestly.
We already have a thread dedicated to this...no?
It got locked.
The colours are ugly and inappropriate, but at least the hoop is sort-of there. The only "third" jersey we should have is either sky blue, or red (as per the jersey from the mid 1970s).
Until they come out with a white jersey with a blue hoop on both sides of it, I'll be wearing my TOFFs version of the 1979 kit.
Winner winner chicken dinner.
I remain spekitical of the whole thing. If this is legit it's fine, but dosen't do much. It's too similar to the current road jersey. Perhaps a protype for 2013 jerseys.
The Bell part is a bit awkward otherwise it's not bad at all. But I was hoping for the original adidas logo
I rather like that kit.
It was accidentally sold to someone on the island, breaking street date.
From the guys that broke the story, I believe it to be legit.
Meh.
Looks alright. Not totally impressed though.
The MLS logo is really small on the sleeve. Makes me wonder if this is legit. Also the Bell logo is smaller than on the other kits.
I certainly won't be rushing out to purchase this. In fact I can't see me ever buying it. It's not that it's ugly but rather that it is uninspiring. I'll be buying the curret away kit before this.

Not only that but there is no Adidas authentication along the bottom, back hem
Pete schaad from wfc daily recently tweeted that he likes the jersey.....does this add to its legitimacy?
I'm a bigger fan of what they have already but it defiantly isn't offensive. Would pick up a Southsiders shirt before this one.
Not ugly but looks like it was designed by a highschool student with 15 minutes and a pre-determined color scheme.

Follow his conversation. The answer is no.
The image has been removed, please do not post it (or link to it) here again as it will be removed.
Can't wait for the censorship debate.
Me neither :p
I'm sure it's the real jersey and the Caps sent a cease and desist order or something like that.

Peter Schaad always supports the hand that feeds him (from "Bell Pitch Downtown" to this jersey).
As for this jersey, looks good but I want to see it up close and personal first. However, for some reason I always wanted to see a baby blue jersey or at least a neo-retro 1979 jersey as the alternate jerseys.
But I digress...
Tyler Green even published an article with this picture...what's the point... http://www.teamradio.ca/soccer/whitecaps-can-build-on-canucks-playoff-loss/
Got to this party late... but a quick Google search found images elsewhere. Seems odd... the image I saw has and unusually small MLS patch on the right arm... brings the authenticity into question.
That's what many including me think too but who would wanna produce such a shirt...

Well that took longer than I thought it would.
I quite like it. Will reserve judgement till I see it in person.
The fact that the guy legitimately bought it in Victoria (whether it should have been on sale or not, he bought it and hasn't leaked it), yet we can't post it here, despite it being posted elsewhere, including by a journalist that runs the official Caps radio show, is absolutely farcical btw.
Would like to know the Board's reasons as to why they've taken this stance as it's just more doffing the cap to the club for what in return exactly?

Cold Pizza :P
Maybe it was removed because it's so UGLY!
Warm Pepsi
There was also warm soda involved.
I'd rather see a link to the new jersey on these forums first as opposed to having to look around, anyway that jersey does not look authentic
The cold pizza warm soda fiasco strikes again!
Blue Patch Boys!

As of this morning the picture on Team Radio is now gone, so I'm assuming that the Head Office asked everyone to take it down. Keyword here is asked, I'm sure they could have ordered everyone to take it down instead.
You're partly right. It was an ask vs tell situation, but you're wrong about them being able to tell us. It's a picture of a shirt that someone owns, not a piece of proprietary art, or a prototype that was stolen. They couldn't demand we remove it any more than they could demand we remove a picture taken at our BBQ yesterday.
We enjoy a cordial relationship with the FO to mutual benefit, but we aren't their street team, or part of their marketing department. We aren't employees, so outside of stadium rules, they can't tell us to do anything. The link being removed was a courtesy, nothing more.
Just for the sake of conversation, I would fully suggest taking this photo down as a courtesy, but I do believe that closing the speculation thread likely crossed a line.
That was done before this went down, and it was because it kept getting bumped off topic. It was annoying going there to see news about the kit and finding chatter instead.
Coincidence in this case, not conspiracy.
Ah that makes sense Brett, thanks for clarifying.

Out of curiosity what do you mean by that? As far as I know the thread was closed because of the lack of any meaningful conversation since there was no concrete information on the jersey, other than being mustang brown and light blue.

But now it looks pretty bad, surely you can understand that.
From Pete Schaad Twitter:
Just confirmed, the WhitecapsFC kit that was floating around the Twittersphere yesterday, is NOT authentic.
wtf was it then?
Someone had too much time on their hands.
NOT authentic doesn't mean it's not the 3rd kit. It just means that it's not the authentic version but could be the replica... :-?
Must be close enough then :)
I suspect the media partners of the 'caps cannot publicly confirm anything related to the third jersey until the team unveils it. My guess is we'll see this confirmed later this week.
