Right now, Toronto are 0-0-6, and losing their seventh game. How long do you folks figure Toronto can keep this streak alive?

Arsenal had the invincibles, what would we call a 0-0-34 Toronto FC?
Unwinnables, unwatchables, stoppables, unscorables, beatables, defeatables, horribles, terribles.
So on, so forth.
Hope nobody likes good defence.
But they lose with such style!
as GoF tweeted the will become the Jame Bond team if they lose. 0-0-7
They're only 0-0-5 just now. I ejaculated a bit prematurely there.
aftnstats - 4: Vancouver Whitecaps worst run of MLS defeats is four. Toronto sit at five and counting. Worst run in franchise history.
aftnstats - 2: The number of Voyageurs Cup wins Toronto have with an asterisk beside them.
The Fire vs. TFC has been an entertaining one. I do have to give it that.
And that TFC are down 2-3, makes it even sweeter.
TFC = " Terrible football club"
Wow. Just .... wow. I won't gloat mind you ... I know how they feel.

I always preferred Total Fucking Crap
Ipswichs' youth team reject Reggie Lambe did score a pretty good first goal
.......and TFC looses again.............
What's the MLS record?
If Toronto win their two games in hand, they could overtake Montreal. Are we ready to start betting on which of Canada's three Canadian clubs will finish last?

We can bet on which of the two Canadian EASTERN teams will finish bottom

Oh come on, I'm sure someone would take the odds on Vancouver. I mean, hell, what is it, 3000-1? But before the season, I felt confident it would be:
Vancouver
Something
Something
Something
etc.
Toronto
Something
Montreal
The Toronto Lynx finished 7th in their USL PDL division last year and I still think I'd have them against the FCs.
I wonder when the TFC front office is cleared out and they bring in people who can do this job. :))
Watching them lose and seeing the Whitecaps win makes my day a whole lot better. I call it the double.

I am hoping they keep the current management for a long long time:)

Invisibles?
I knew things were bad in TO, but this is unbelievable. http://www.thestar.com/mobile/sports/article/1165893

Lol. "This wasn't tactics. It was a search for prime numbers."
Am I the only one that isn't relishing watching TFC fail for yet another season? I mean of course they're our rivals, but in the interest of watching soccer flourish in Canada this is terrible.
Montreal and Vancouver are doing fine. The Toronto plastics were always going to get bored within a few years for the same reason they never supported the Toronto Lynx: they don't like soccer, they like a show and they like getting attention.
They do have a decent youth setup though. At some point, they'll hire somebody competent in the FO and turn things around for the first team. They won't be awful forever. I'm enjoying it in the meantime.

Definitely conflicted about that.

I agree with you. I want them to be good enough to give fans a bit of false hope ... maybe make the play offs every few seasons - good enough to be Toronto's best sports team and keep people interested, but not good enough to go very far.
You have to wonder how much their player development was down to Neely? Thomas Rongen is a typical Tom Soehnian MLS relic from '96. Funny that some RPB are calling for him to take over.
I'm impatient for our youth players to make a breakthrough, but I have to say it's nice to see Alderson playing a big role in bringing home the USSDA playoffs, rather than struggling for MLS minutes. I felt for Stinson and Morgan yesterday. When a new coach comes in, they could be the first two casualties for PT. That's going to hurt them. I'd point this out to Duane Rollins but I don't have the energy to waste on that fat bastard.
I really don't get a lot of people here in Canada. You're way too nice and don't seem to get the pure hatred aspect that sport needs to fully flourish. That helps the game in Canada thrive a lot more than wanting your rivals to improve.
How can any Caps fan not relish Toronto's current situation and want them to fail? It's football rivalry that's stoke the game for over 100 years.
I want them to miss the playoffs every year and for crowds to dwindle so low that they eventually just call it a day. Montreal too.
That would help the Caps no end in terms of exposure, players, Champions League qualification.
Club > Country.
Your last sentence is the difference. Many here are Country > Club. There's also a general Canadian complex about the USA. Nothing unites us more than America bashing. Therefore, we want Canada to be strong.
It also makes a huge difference that there are other sports here for people to follow. If Canadian soccer teams do poorly, it might enhance the rivalry for the die-hards, but it won't do anything to grow the game in Canada.
That all said, better dead than red.

Really? I love it when our rivals are strong - but not as strong as us. I think that's when things really get fun ... you watch them try and try to be as good as us but they never quite get there. If TFC has crowds that dwindle and they eventually die, what's the point in that. There would be no rivalry left. I'm a Hearts fan from the SPL, and I hate Hibs, but I'd never want them to die ... I just want them to be good enough to think they might have a chance of beating us every once in a while to give them a little bit of false hope, but deep down they know they will always be in our shadow. Same with TFC, Seattle, Portland, and Montreal.
^they have a mediocre youth set up that finds a few good players based soley on having millions to chose from playing in a mediocre league set up. It's a fucking mess and nothing more. There is a good reason homegrown players leave - unfortunately those same players will end up going all Jono on us and playing for Uruguay or Belgium or wherever because the "feel" more Dutch.
Agree wit GoF. We are too nice. When Donovan Bailey trash talked Michael Johnson after their 150m -farce- race, he was lambasted in the press for being a poor sport. Only in Canada.
The only problem that I had with Donovan was that he didn't bear crawl across the finish line. That would've been fantastic.

I would be quite happy for Fife rivals Raith and Cowden to go bust and die. Although our support is split with that. We discuss it a lot on my Fife forum! We are mostly in the agreement that we'd love to see them weak and failing miserably every single year.
That's what I want for TFC, Montreal, Seattle and Portland most. Always down the bottom of MLS and never taking any points of the Caps.

Canadian football will never truly flourish when their teams play in what is an American league and the whole middle section of the country have no teams in it.
It would be interesting to see how feelings are split in the whole Club > Country thing between people born in Canada and those not.
It's kind of like Rollins arguement about playing more Canadian players.
Just pure guessing, but I'm thinking many (most?) non Canadians couldn't care less where their club players come from here as long as there's an attractive, winning team on the park.
Funny! I wanted him to run across backwards with his hand up to his forehead like he was looking for Johnson.

I guess we can agree that we both always want to have the joy of heaping misery on our rivals.
Mlse loves bleeding money into losing franchises, TFC are here for the long haul. Bring on the losses!
I completely disagree with GoF. Country>Club. That said I do want to see TFC get smashed, especially since it will give some Canadian prospects playing time.
I'm with GoF - dig a hole and fucking bury them.
I'll never forget the smug ignoramus from Toronto who came to Swangard during the first-ever Caps home match v. TFC... he and his buddies stood in with the Southsiders, and he says to me (quite sincerely!)
"So, with us being in MLS... this must be like a friendly against Real Madrid for you guys? You must be excited!" [/facepalm]
I swear, it's the fans in Toronto and Seattle that piss me off to no end, more-so than their club.
Montreal: I hate the players, their shameful antics, and the bitter history between us.
Portland: I wish the club nothing but misery, but their supporters are first class and great friends to the Southsiders. They're always welcome in our pub as far as I'm concerned.
To get back to the question of how long TFC's stream will last, it depends on who they are playing next over the next several games and how strong those clubs are. I haven't checked who they are playing next.
I love watching anything from TO fail; and fail miserably.
However, I also have to say that we would probably not have MLS if there wasn't such instant success in the stands for TFC. It was that success that led MLS to be more confident in other Canadian markets.
RSL, DC, DC, Philly, SKC, Hou, NE, Mon
Granted, I'm on the other side of the border, but I could take or leave TFC. Don't like them, but don't loathe them, either. But I'd be thrilled if Montreal turned out to be a total bust that cost Joey and his merry band of mullets millions before it folded, or moved to St. Louis.
Seattle - Don't like the ECS style much, although most of the season ticket holders I know in other areas are sound. Can tolerate the team, if only to keep peace with the wife.
Portland - No issues with the TA, even a bit of respect. But I'm thrilled every time the team loses, second only to Montreal in that regard.
TFC will only turn their season around if the players decide to do so. From the sounds of it Winter has lost the room and doesn't see to care.
