What's the wait like?
Not horrible...looks like an hour or so. About 4 buses ahead of us..we're not backed up on the road like a couple of yearsback.
That was nice.It washed away all the lingering smells from the day and made for a beautiful walk home.
Agghh. Wrong place in thread. Have a nice trip down.
Through the border! Look out CostCutters!
Bus C is still at the border then onto Cost Cutters....finally thru!!
How slow is the WiFi today Steve?
I'm at home sobbing bitter tears that I'm not with you guys. Drink on my behalf.

I also met a couple Caps fans at Cowgirls last night who were on their way to Portland today. We're everywhere!

That place is legit.
We kept the same chants going for at least 10 minutes today it was wicked!
Zach did a tremendous job at keeping it all going in the middle. Also very entertaining to watch him in action.
Thanks to us customs who processed us damn quick. Very appreciated.
We didn't even have to get off the bus this time. Brilliant!
Oh dear god I'm hoarse! Gotta tell you, straight up: that was our finest day as travelling supporters EVER. I don't know what the actual number was but it sure looked like 750 to me. Our capos (Southsiders, Curva and Rain City) did a tremendous job to unify the group, and the drummers were powerful and time-appropriate. The other poster wan't kidding about Curva chants going 10 minutes... Holy hell we were like a tribe of jungle headhunters, and sounded amazing. That's the first time in my many, many years as a Southsider where I can honestly say I couldn't hear the TA at all save for a few times when we were switching songs. We may have been a bit louder in brief spells at home v. Seattle, but this performance was by far Vancouver's finest. Take a bow, capos & drummers: well done.... and for all of our supporters who made the trip... you've made this old Southsider very, very proud of you.
Sounds like it was a good time, I could hear you guys loud and clear on the TV, although the TSN booth was closer to you guys and I could hear the Timbers Army at times. I heard some of the chants, and the "Boom!" was very loud. I'll definitely be going down in the summer, hopefully we can WIN!
I hope you all had a good trip, and we will start booking the August trip soon, so if you're down for another great time let me know and we will plan accordingly.
Thought the "How We Love Thee" chant had legs too. Fantastic work by everyone.
i agree Allio chant was insane...went down last year and gotta say this time around we were atleast five times louder and together and like Johnny said I couldnt even hear the TA at all
Overall an awesome trip. 3 highlights of mine were: (1) seeing a whitecaps fan walk in and run out of "fantasy factory" right by the stadium as we were driving by on the bus, (2) having someone on our bus moon the TA as our driver paraded us in front of them, and (3) trading a canucks scarf that was accidentally brought for a cascadia one!
@ Ryan_K: nice top three.. Here's mine: 3) winding up Timber Joey during the game 2) Mattocks scoring the tying goal and 1) The impromptu social with the TA at the bitter end after the match!
Incredible weekend. Great job by all those responsible for thr organisation and execution. Thanks everyone especially Mitch for the smooth running of Bus A.
Just watching the PVR of the game. Great shot of Luke Don & myself at 39:19
This was my first road trip with the Southsiders. It was so much fun and I am already looking forward to the next one! I also want to add my kudos to those who organized this trip.
Also thanks to Mitch for great job of running Bus A. I'm actually very glad that I didn't win that trivia game!
I'll also find it so hard to resist yelling "Yuuup" when I'm driving or in the car and see certain buildings.
Whitecaps away v Portland this weekend was a blast. Thanks to Mitch and all the Bus A crazies!
WE HAVE HEALTH CARE!~
Since I didn't make it this time i want to know if anyone lost their clothes, wake up in weird places or trouble at the border.
On behalf of Bus D, I would like to thank @piltdownman and @yaletownshane for their sterling job in organizing our bus and helping to make this PDX trip one to remember.
"There she goes" is going to be the next great Southside chant.
i was in row A and every time i looked baxk during the alio song all i could see was hands clapping and people jumping really wish i took a video it was an amazing sight. didnt hear a peep out of the TA after we scored either
i agree we gotta do the allio chant from the prawnsiders all the way to Curva would be soo sick...I was in row V and seeing everyone just bounce and throw their hands up was epic...
What an incredible couple days with the rest of the Southsiders and other whitecaps fans. Still can't believe how many things we manage to cram into such a short period of time.
Thanks to the board for putting this all together for us, as well to the BUS C crew, and our fearless hosts for making the drive there and back so memorable. Can't wait until the next PDX trip. There is only on answer to the important question of "will you be on bus C again? Yeeeeeeeep
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Allio chant was superb
It only made a brief appearance outside the Bus (before the game while being held outside) but Bus A got Ken's version of Maple Leaf Forever rocking - outstanding!
Chicken Chicken Brown Cow !
Every one of you that was on this trip give yourselves a HUGE round of applause!!! =D> =D> =D> !!!
Every one of you did an outstanding job on Saturday. From my vantage point down down at the bottom (conducting our group along with Kris) we were all amazing! Everyone did a fantastic job! We all STOOD PROUD and SANG LOUD for 90 fickin minutes!
Not only were we loud but our visuals were amazing as well. Hand gesters, bouncing, scarf waving, flag waving, 2-sticks and clapping high over head instead of in front made a HUGE difference and looked great!
Like mentioned before by Johnnie, the TA were very quiet for stretches at a time and were not heard in our section unles we were switching songs. I am very proud to stand and do what I do for our goup and am so very proud of all of you as well!!!
We may have 2 draws on the pitch regarding the Cascadia Cup but we are without a doubt 2-0 in the stands!
A big shout out to all involved in organizing this trip and doing everything in your powers to make it as smooth and memorable as possible for all =D>
THANK YOU!
Cheers!!!
As this was my first Portland trip, I had high expectations. They were all met, and in fact this trip exceeded them. What a blast in Portland and on bus D. Big thanks to Brett and Shane for all their hard work with organizing our bus. I won't be back for the summer tour because the baby should be making her arrival around then, but I'll be back for next year for sure.
I still have "There She Goes" in my head!
had a wonderful time as usual, behaved myself (of course). my favourite moments were: 1. Shotgunning a can of 4loko before going into the ground to "sober up a bit" 2. "Someone" drawing a blue moustache on a girl who passed out on the bus. 3. 6 of us mooning CenturyLink field from the window of the bus. 4. The Cheez-it finger. 5. The green dragon. 6. Ken the Cocktogenarian bus driver's flatulence and infinite patience. 7. Voodoo doughnuts for everyone on Bus D. 8. Getting a round of applause when I got off the bus and then mooning said bus. 9. Watching the TImbers fans get DRENCHED as we chanted along happily under our roof. 10. Not having to get off the bus at the Canadian Border. 11. Getting a fairly undeserved point. 12. Mini-keg of Newcastle brown on the bus.
Thanks of course to Brett and Shane, all the other Adams and everyone who worked so hard making it happen.
