Question for Vancouver fans.
  • Can you guys tell me the whereabouts of the 3 Honduran players that Vancouver acquired in Spring of 2010 from Platense Juniors??

    They are:
    Elvin Geovany Castillo
    Nelson Alirio Castillo
    Héctor Rodolfo García

    Thank You :)

We buried them under the turf we laid down for the Man City game.

They disappeared without a mention. Very strange indeed.

    who cares.
  • What the hell? We signed three Hondurans? The only thing I can think of is that they didn't get MLS contracts so they're either sitting at home, or playing for another team. Who? No idea. Did you google their names?

Catracho: We took the liberty of cutting Akoul and Knight to free up roster spots for your players, and they didn't bother to show. Now we have defensive depth issues, and Tommy Soehn's sterling reputation in this town has been tarnished. What the fuck, man?

Garcia and Nelson Castillo both played fairly regularly in the residency side in the PDL in 2010.  It looks like they were released after that, because they've vanished without a trace.

Just to clarify - the residency side is basically the youth team, although players from the senior group are sometimes sent down to play with them.

They started this season with the PDL guys, but weren't on the roster for the first PDL game, but they were with the team in March for sure.

  • They won't play on turf, no matter what the grade. If they had to choose they'd take sand over shredded rubber tires.

  • wow...  I had a feeling they kinda "vanished" because I googled their names and try to do some research and it comes up pretty empty for one of the guys, and the other two well, seem to have just stop playing all together or something after the 2010 season.

Thanks a lot for this. Shame they couldn't take advantage of this opportunity. C.D. Platense is a really good futbol "factory" in Honduras.
